(1) Installation and maintenance should only be performed by trained staff of the maintenance department.

(2) The airbag system is not allowed to be opened or repaired, and can only be replaced with new RMB parts.

(3) The air bag device has a replacement date (there is a label in the toolbox, American cars under the sunshade mirror), and the air bag device must be replaced after 10 years, even if there is no crash.

(4) If the air bag device or its detonator device falls on the ground from a place higher than 0.5m, they can no longer be loaded, and the air bag parts that have suffered mechanical damage (such as dents, cracks) must be replaced, cracks can cause damage to the printed circuit board and make the air bag system fail.

(5) In order to prevent the accidental detonation of the air bag, the negative electrode of the battery should be removed and cOver ed during any operation of the air bag system! The plug of the power supply unit behind the central control panel should also be unplugged.

(6) As soon as the air bag system is removed from the warehouse, it must be installed on the car. If the loading must be interrupted, the air bag device must not be allowed to be unattended.

(7) When the air bag device is removed from the car, the cushion on the air bag device must always be placed upward. This is an important safety measure, if the position is not normal, if it is detonated, the air bag device will fly upward and vertical, which is very easy to appear dangerous.

(8) The airbag device shall not be coated with oil and cleaning agents or similar substances, even if it is exposed to an environment above 100 ° C for a short time.

(9) If the airbag device is detonated in an accident, for safety reasons (such as cracks in the printed circuit board), all RMB components (accumulator, airbag device, detonator, voltage converter, wiring harness) need to be updated.

The car reports an airbag failure and has an airbag fault code, but this does not necessarily mean that the airbag is broken. For example, the computer detects the fault code for the steering wheel air bag igniter to open the road, it may really be the air bag is broken, it may be the steering wheel spring is broken, it may be the line contact is poor, it may be the air bag computer board is broken, you dare to directly replace the expensive air bag? Don't dare!

The best way is, of course, to use large instruments such as airbag special detection instruments or vehicle maintenance integrators/decoders, but we may not have such instruments around us, and the simplest and fastest detection method is to use a simple tool to judge maintenance.
